Care Tips +

Textiles

  • All textile prints are made with heat set fabric ink, the prints are permanent and wash safe. Pieces that are washed heavily will settle into the fabric over time with a nice natural vintage look.
  • I recommend printed textiles to be washed inside out with cold water (or hand washed) with a mild soap. For drying, low heat, air fluff, or hang dry depending on your preference.
  • Cyanotype fabric care instructions: Cold wash only. Hand wash preferred. Cyanotype is ph sensitive and will change color or fade when in contact with high ph detergents or solutions as well as natural tonal changes with time. Consider ph neutral detergents designed for silk and wool, like woolite.

Prints

  • Paper cyanotypes can fade under certain conditions over time. To restore, place the piece in a dark place for a few days until color is restored.

Stained Glass

  • Stained Glass is made with lead containing materials and should be handled with care. Please wash your hands after handling your stained glass and keep away from pets and children.
  • Stained glass comes to you polished and protected, typically only requiring a light dusting here and there. If you wish to clean your stained glass please do so with a micro fiber cloth with just water or an ammonia free cleaner. Feel free to use q-tips to get in hard to reach areas.
  • With age and under certain conditions, solder lines can oxodize and will develop a white coating along the solder. For those who wish to re-polish their piece to aid in preventing further oxodization, can do so with any carnauba wax based polish and a microfiber cloth.
  • Hanging stained glass should be done so with the weight of the piece in mind. Smaller pieces can hang from a single or a couple small nails either in drywall or your window frame. Larger heavier pieces should be hung with additional reinforcement such as weight rated hooks/hangers or anchored in a stud. I do not recommend suction cups for hanging glass!

Additional Info +

Textiles/Prints

  • All prints (paper and textile) are hand printed with hand carved blocks or hand silk screened using original designs illustrated by Crust.
  • Patch sizing may vary slightly. Hand measured and cut with love.
  • With block prints being hand printed, imperfections may occur and ink opacity may fluctuate.

Stained Glass

  • My stained glass pieces are created using the copper foil method
  • Glass designs that are not sold as "1 of 1" are subject to minor difference between each piece due to the nature of glasswork. Pieces may look slightly darker or lighter in comparison to the listing picture.
